Half-Day Program

Churchill Academy offers students a flexible half-day program on an as-needed basis.

Students with social, emotional, health, attention or other needs may be considered for either a morning or afternoon half-day program, depending on the circumstances.

The Churchill Academy staff works together with parents to develop a tailor-made, individualized program.

Program Details & Options

Schedule: 8:10am -12:10pm, Monday – Friday
Cost: $5,000.00 annually
Grades: K – 8th

This half-day program is offered to students who need individualized instruction.

There are options in all core academic areas; including:

  • Handwriting/keyboarding
  • Grammar
  • Structured language
  • Spelling
  • Reading
  • Math

Curriculum Options

The curriculum utilized is dependent upon student needs, but may include:

  • SRA Direct Instruction3
  • Moving with Math4
  • Handwriting Without Tears5

Oversight & Instruction

This program takes place onsite at Churchill Academy, with instruction provided by Churchill Academy staff in small highly-structured classes.

It includes:

  • Academic placement testing
  • An individualized learning plan
  • Teacher coordination and supervision
  • Monthly follow-up parent support meetings

Parents are responsible for implementing school-provided social studies and science units, as well as a logged PE activity. The Churchill case manager oversees instruction and progress in these areas.
